Cook up your own soil!
You don't have to fill the entire 8'x12' Keyhole Garden with soil. You can create your own organic soil by using compostable yard waste and cardboard (including the box the garden comes in!). Simply alternate between layers of brown and green materials, making sure to water generously in between each layer. Top with 6-8 inches of top soil to finish it off. Over time the collection of materials will break down to create the black gold of gardening - composted soil.

Assembly
You can assemble this garden kit yourself, but we would advise you to find a friend. Projects are much more fun with someone else, and easier. Assembly takes about 4-5 hours, and adding the soil (approx. 4.5 cubic yards) can take an additional few hours. Select a sunny and level piece of land for your garden. No digging is required as the entire structure sits directly on the ground. All of our fencing sections are backed with wire mesh. When the fencing is delivered, the mesh is already affixed. It takes only minutes to attach the fencing sections to the garden beds.
